Clean Scene Network for Youth brings together community and youth and we are continually reaching out to grow the community, growing links between all our community members. Clean Scene Network for Youth is here to help youth live a full life free of addictions giving them a chance to have a choice to live to their potential.

Rotary 5370 District Conference is being held in Dawson Creek from Oct 1 - 4. Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield will be speaking on Friday night and there will be many more great sessions!
Some members have already registered. Perhaps if there is enough interest we can rent a bus or car pool. Here is the link!

Sponsorship packages have been emailed to you. Should you be willing to approach businesses, please let either Tim or myself know so we can keep track of our sponsors, ensure proper recognition and check items off of our event check list!
Our president, Tamara Larson, has issued a fundraising challenge for the matching grant we received for the Neighbours Centre. Friends and members are welcome to join in!
We have been approved for a matching grant of $1000 to do a meal project with the Neighbor Centre; $1000 will come from Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue and the matching grant will come from the Rotary District 5370 Charitable Foundation. I have issued a Presidential Challenge to all club members; if we each contribute $25, we will raise $500 for this matching grant. This way, the club will contribute, individual members will contribute and we will have additional funds from the Rotary District 5370 Charitable Foundation.
Giving is truly a personal choice. Should you feel this is something that you wish to contribute towards, your support will be welcomed! Please do not in any way feel obligated. Each member's contribution will be completely confidential.
Should you wish to contribute, you will receive a tax receipt for whatever you choose to donate. Please make cheques payable to the following (cash is acceptable as well):

Our next meeting, Tuesday, July 28, will be the deadline to contribute to this project! Bring your contribution to the meeting and give it to Alicja. She will compile all of the individual member contributions and then we will issue a cheque from the club for the balance.
Members of the Whyte Ave Rotary Club got a "taste" of the Neighbour Centre's Dinner Club, which provides a prepared meal shared by both the patrons and the Dinner Club cooks.
Last Wednesday night 5 of our members had the pleasure of participating in the Wednesday night meal program with The Neighbour centre. This was a great opportunity to cook, dine and clean up with the volunteers and patrons of the centre, and it was extremely rewarding. It is clear that the Centre is making a significant difference in the lives of the individuals we met, and we are excited to see our upcoming donation going towards such a worthy cause. Many more good stories will result from our partnership with the Centre. More details will follow shortly on how we can participate with them on this and other programs.
The fun, fearless and focused members of the Whyte Ave Rotary Club are always welcoming visitors, volunteers and community-minded citizens to meetings and events.
