There has been a slight delay but expect to get the link shortly. When you do share it far and wide so we raise as much funds as possible!!
We are very excited to host our first annual "Set for Summer" online auction. PLEASE share the information with your family and friends and on your social media. If you'd still like to contribute something tot he auction feel free to do so and we can make it a "new item" and create buzz around it.
If and when you do contribute something please remember to send Tamara an email (at larson.tamarac@gmail.com) including the following information
Photo
short summary of item
who donated the item: logo and website if provided
retail amount of item
We are looking for items that are summer related:
Gift cards from local restaurants and merchants on Whyte Avenue
Anything BBQ related
Camping gear
Fishing gear
Beer and/or spirits
Summer activities: Fort Edmonton Park, the Zoo, or other
Recreational activities: biking, hiking, water sports or other
Park pass for Jasper/Banff/Kananakis
Golfing
And anything else summer fun related!
A letter that you can personalize for this auction if you wish to solicit items was emailed out to members on April 26th.
In order to ensure we keep track of who has approached whom, please find a link to an Excel spreadsheet in our Google Drive - Set for Summer. Please indicate whom you have approached and any items you have been successful in collecting for this online auction.
We will once again be doing this through Givergy. We are looking for volunteers to support this fundraising initiative:
solicit auction items
work on Givergy site - set up and final reconciliation
A couple of things we have learned along the way!
If you are getting perishables (eg baked goods) donated, please ensure that they are fresh and not day olds/stale
If you are donating perishables yourself, please check the expiry date to ensure they are not moldy or out of date
In order to ensure that all items get delivered in a timely manner, we ask those who have solicited items and/or donated items willing to help with the delivery after the auction closes. If you are not able to do so, I am sure we can make arrangements to help.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
