Building Community at the Neighbour Centre BBQ

Rotary Whyte Ave and friends helped our community partner the Neighbour Centre put on a fantastic BBQ! This BBQ is an annual event hosted by the Neighbor Centre and supported by Rotary Whyte Ave to provide neighbours experiencing homelessness and community members a safe space to kick back, relax, and enjoy some delicious food. A huge thanks to Kristin for helping to organize this great event and to everyone who came and helped out! A great time was had by all!

Whyte Ave Rotary Supporting Access to Education in Bangladesh

 Rotary Whyte Avenue co-sponsored a school in Bangladesh through The Amarok Society -- the Combined Rotary Women's School - with The Rotary Clubs of Strathcona, Mayfield, Urban Spirits, Grand Prairie and Hinton. Last week the school provided an update in how Rotary is is supporting school programming. Rotary Whyte Avenue's Marilyn Mucha was featured in Rotary Down Under Magazine!
 
 
Rotarians visiting from Australia offered a week’s accommodation in South Australia as a live auction prize at the Rotary Club of Jasper's Lobsterfest. As one of two remaining bidders, Marilyn won the trip after the visiting Rotarians decided to offer two weeks so both bidders can win! By bidding, Marilyn helped raise funds in support of fantastic Rotary initiatives and now gets to enjoy a nice stay in Australia! Way to go Marilyn!
