Lynn is originally from Uganda where she received her B.A in Social Sciences from Makerere University followed by MBA from University of East London and Disabilities studies in Developmental Social work program from Loyalist College where she was a Rotaractor.  Lynn says “Rotary is my passion. It’s through serving as a Rotarian and through my vocation that I am able to be a part of the change that I wish to see in the world. I am a Disability and Community services professional who recently moved to Edmonton from Ontario where I trained and worked for about 3.5 years. I am currently looking for work in Edmonton and volunteering with Catholic Social Services. I am re-joining Rotary to continue to serve those in need in our community as well as for the fun, friendship and fellowship. I have been serving above self for over 10 years. I was an active member of 3 different clubs and served in different roles such as club secretary, director service projects, director club administration, chair youth services among others. I have contributed to The Rotary Foundation and attended several Rotary District Conferences & Assemblies. I am a compassionate, caring and friendly person with a genuine desire to make a difference in society.”

 

 

Diptarka was born and raised in Kolkata, India. He is currently pursuing MBA at the Alberta School of Business. He completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, India and has worked for IBM and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for 7 years as an IT professional in India, Spain and Saudi Arabia. He is married to Suchetana for 6 years. His hobbies include soccer and landscape sketching. He also founded a social welfare trust that funds the annual educational expenses of three underprivileged children. He was also involved with the activities of ‘Resurrection’ (a social welfare society) that works on reducing stress for people at correctional homes, retirement homes and cancer hospitals. He would like to join our Rotary to meet new people and to continue to work for community service.

Suchetana Mukherjee

 

Suchetana was born and raised in Kolkata, ‘City of Joy’. She is currently doing her MBA at University of Alberta. She did her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and designed several highways and bridges for provincial Governments in India. She also holds a diploma in two forms of classical dance and has been pursuing so for the last 26 years. In 2006 she started her dance academy, ‘Jhankar’, which currently has 30 students. She was a trustee of ‘Resurrection’, a social welfare society that works on reducing stress for people at correctional homes, retirement homes and cancer hospitals. She wants to join Rotary to meet new people and work towards fulfilling the missions of Rotary.
