Come one! Come all!

December 12th at Rooster Cafe & Kitchen (formerly Artisan Cafe), 10732 82 Avenue, The Rotary Club of Whyte Avenue will gather in celebration of the festive season. Come share in an evening of fun, food and friendship. Members, prospective new members, family, and guests are welcome.

Children under 12 attend for free; all others at a very reasonable $10 each. Cost includes delicious fare courtesy of the good folks at Rooster, and a cash bar will be on hand. Add to the Christmas ambiance by wearing your most hideous holiday sweater! (C'mon... when else are we going to wear those things?)

Purchase your tickets now through Eventbrite or RSVP to Saiyed Jaffer by no later than December 8th to make sure there's room at the inn for you and yours.

Stocking Up for the Skills Society

Members and friends of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue spread holiday cheer early this year when they got together to prepare holiday stockings for the Skills Society! The Skills Society is an incredible community partner that provides much needed support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, survivors of acquired brain injury, and their families. For the second year in a row, the Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue collected donations and assembled 56 holiday stockings for people supported by the Skills Society’s Outreach Program. The club would like to thank the Skills Society for inviting us to their office so we could assemble the stockings together as well as thank everyone who donated and volunteered!

The Neighbour Centre Christmas

With the busy season ramping up for all of us, it's easy to get caught up in everything we need to make a great Christmas for our loved ones. That's why it's particularly important to remember those neighbours in our community experiencing homelessness and poverty.

On December 14th we will once again partner with The Neighbour Centre to put on a fine meal in good company. Volunteers are required for two shifts:

- Meal prep from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

- Meal service, dinner and clean-up from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

In addition, the donation of commercially-prepared desserts is also needed.
