Tuesday March 8 is International Women's Day.
 
In honor of this, we will have our International Service Chair, Meltem den Heyer, speak to her vision of International Service for our club.
 
We will also be inducting our newest member: Vaishali Rampurkar.
 
Her father, a Rotarian in India, will be her sponsor.
 
Quite fitting for International Women's Day! 
 
Hope to see you all at a very exciting meeting for our club! 
 

 
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (Feb 27): Tamara Larson

An evening of fun was had by all! Hosted by Owen and Tamara Larson, guests Paige Reeves and Matthew Bilyk along with Petra Remy and Stan Kodric enjoyed an evening of fellowship that included baby back ribs, baked potatoes, salad, strawberry cheesecake and more!
 
 
Thanks for a great evening!!!
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (March 5): Marilyn Mucha

Great event at Marilyn Mucha's house with Tim & Dalene Onciul, Sheila and Randy Hawkins and Vaishali and Shandanu Rampurkar.
 

We had an International meal with Spanokopita, borsch, pyrogies, pot stickers, naan bread, stuffed kulcha, greek salad and chana masala.  Our guests never left the dining table till almost 11 pm. 
 
Great conversation, laughs and certainly a better understanding and appreciation of each other.  ( I learned that Tim Onciul’s family is from a southern area of Ukraine, Vaishali has yet to find a good Indian restaurant in Edmonton and that Randy and Sheila will be visiting a Rotary club in Mexico while they housesit later this month). 
 
By the end of the evening, Vaishali was less petrified of our dog Prince.

Great event at Scott and Michelle Young's house with Guiscela Perez Arellano and her boyfriend Edgar.
 
It was a Mexican-themed night where we had nacho chips, salsa, guacamole, fajitas and chocolate pots de creme and ironically Guiscelaand Edgar are both from Mexico!
 
Edgar had fun playing soccer with our son Benjamin in the back while Scott BBQ'd.
 
Michelle and Guiscela had fun talking about Mexican food and music.
 
A great night for all!
 
RLI Level 2 "Me and My Club"

The members of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue completed RLI Level 2 "Me and My Club".
 
 
What a fun and engaging way to learn about Rotary, get to know each other and plan for the future.
 
Thanks so each member for their input, enthusiasm and more in making these sessions FUN FEARLESS & FOCUSED!
