Tuesday, January 26 Meeting
On Tuesday, January 26, we were pleased to have Tiffany Smith, U School Program Lead, and Mandy Quon, Assistant Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations, present to us on a dynamic program at the University of Alberta.

U School is a week an engaging, week-long site based educational experience at the University of Alberta for students in grades 4 through 9. Experts from the campus community lead sessions that tie back to Alberta curriculum and share their unique educational journeys. U School participants are inspired to being exploring new worlds of opportunity as they meet U of A students, faculty, staff, alumni and senators.

U School inspires students from socially vulnerable, Aboriginal (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) and rural communities to discover the world of post-secondary education.

U School is a program initiated by the University of Alberta Senate that aims to introduce and connect grade 4 through 9 students to the University of Alberta.  Our target students would not necessarily have strong connections to the the U of A as they may come from socially vulnerable metro areas, Aboriginal (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) communities or are given a rural opportunity through the program.
