Rotary is defined as "Service Above Self".

Our club has created an award that honors the hard work by our members. The Whyte Knight Award recognizes exemplary service above self to our community and our club. This award is for members and chosen by members.

In September, Marilyn Mucha was given the Whyte Knight Award for her dedication to our club and Rotary. Marilyn is a Past President, is a member of the Paul Harris Society, presently in an Assistant Governor in our District and in the past two years took on the role of Membership Chair. Under her leadership and direction, our club has gone from 18 members to 30 in the past two Rotary years. She has led Fireside chats, launched our spousal membership option (and we have TWO spousal memberships in our club now!), created the foundation for corporate memberships and helped establish a mentorship program for our new members. This year, she was essential in helping our club work through all of the details of hosting our inbound exchange student Kevin from Taiwan and has taken on the role of his first host family. Her work behind the scenes and wealth of Rotary knowledge has been a big reason and contributing factor to our club's success.

Thank you Marilyn for all that you do for our club and Rotary.

Congratulations on receiving the Whyte Knight Award!
