Last year Whyte Avenue Rotary sponsored a child in Colima, Mexico through the Project Amigo Canada Society. The $135 donation provided Miguel with the tools he needed to be successful, such as shoes, clothing and educational services. The sponsorship also helped him broaden his horizons and to connect with people beyond his own communities with the annual “Day at the Beach” trip and at Project Amigo’s volunteer-driven Christmas Fiesta.
