Rotarians and friends got together this past Wednesday to outsmart Polio together! Rotary Whyte Avenue put on a trivia night to raise funds towards the eradication of polio.
Foundation Chair Tamara kick-started the night by talking about our Rotary goals and thanking everyone for coming. Our President-elect Stan B. put together some challenging trivia questions about Edmonton on everything from Edmonton cuisine, landmarks, sports, and celebrities!
Multiple teams showed off their knowledge of Edmonton and competed for the YEG trivia crown. However, at the end we had a three way tie between teams YEGtastic Gatway, Ageless, and the YEG Masters! After two sudden death rounds, YEGtastic placed first, Ageless in second, and YEG Masters in third! Rahim J. is also the lucky recipient of the 50/50 draw!
Final amount of funds raised is being calculated and will be shared at an upcoming meeting. The Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue thanks Polar Park for hosting us, for putting $2.50 of every drink sold towards our polio fundraiser, and for the delicious food!
