Thank you 2013, Welcome 2014!

The Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue ended a fantastic 2013 with two of its favourite things: holiday cheer with friends at the Next Act, and bringing some comfort to the local youth at risk at the Old Strathcona Youth Society (O.S.Y.S.) Festive Dinner.  Volunteers and staff came together to give the youth a home cooked turkey dinner complete with all the trimmings. It was held in the gym at the Knox United Church, December 21, 2013. Youth and staff helped to decorate and change the space into a lovely Christmas setting.

Marilyn and Kelly came by with their own sacks of goodies containing donations gathered by members of the Whyte Avenue Rotary Group.  Just like St. Nick they quietly placed socks, mittens, hand warmers (what else) into the knapsacks the youth would leave with.  There were extra hand warmers left behind with Karen from OSYS for the rest of the winter season.
