She's All That - Color her Courgeous

 

On Thursday, May 12, members of the Whyte Avenue Club joined other Rotarians in celebrating Women in Rotary!

 

She's All That - Color her Courgeous took place at the Edmonton Golf and Country Club. Guest speaker, Interact alumnus Kirsten Poon, shared her many amazing life experiences with us.

 

This event also raised funds for the District 5370 Fort McMurray Fire Relief Fund. Proceeds from ticket sales and raffle items will go to support this much needed cause. Rotary President (Rotary Club of Fort McMurray) Jeannette Bancarz shared her harrowing ordeal of being evacuated and what life is like now for many as the rebuilding and clean will take place in Fort McMurray.

 

Some truly amazing stories of courage and bravery in a time of need; most inspiring is the sense of community and the willingness to help each other throughout a terrifying experience.
