On Tuesday May 4th, we had Al Hoeft, The Salvation Army Divisional Secretary for Public Relations & Development for the Alberta & Northern Territories Division, speak to our club about the plans for their new Grace Village facility. Grace Village will provide supportive housing to bridge the gap between chronic homelessness and permanent housing in Edmonton. Grace Village will also offer addiction recovery programming to help people build the strength to break free of drug or alcohol addiction, giving hope for a better and brighter future. Al explained how Grace Village will be designed to support residents in a dignified and safe way, to promote community engagement and outreach, and meet the highest environmental building standards as a net zero building. Thank you for coming to speak to us about this project Al!
