Kiva, founded in 2005, has the mission to expand financial access to help under-served people and communities thrive through micro loans. Rotary Whyte Avenue has been supporting people in need through Kiva for the past several years.
International Services Chair Stan B. told our club this past Tuesday how we provided an additional $300.00 to people in need through Kiva. This way, our club can continue to support others through one of Rotary International’s six area’s of focus: growing local economies by “strengthening local entrepreneurs and community leaders, particularly women, in impoverished communities.
