Our small but mighty club was back at one of our favourite activities this week - supporting community members in our city.
17 volunteers - members, members of fellow clubs, prospective members, family/friends/spouses/neighbours
donated their time, skills and food for Melcor Meals Take 7. With their help, 11 folks living with disabilities, supported by Skills, each received a care package with 8, pre-packaged meals and 16+ muffins/cookies/nuts & bolts! We intentionally chose the end of March for delivery as were told that often by the end of the month, folks are low on food and grocery funds.
This was our seventh time working with the Skills Society: Supporting the Citizenship of People with Disabilities on this initiative, started in 2020. Thanks for the great partnership Skills!
