Venue and Meeting Date Change
The Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue now meets at the Artisan Resto-Cafe. Beginning September 4th, meetings will be held every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Induction ceremony for Kelsey Rabin
Our Membership Chair Saiyed Jaffer inducted our newest member, Kelsey Rabin. Kelsey's classification is Business Analyst. At the age of fifteen she was a participant of RYLA. She was also a participant of the Youth Exchange in 2005-2006 to southern Brazil. Currently, Kelsey is chairing the RYPEN program. Welcome Kelsey!
Who's who: Colin Beddoes
Colin provided the Club with an entertaining presentation on his story. We learned about his family, his career, his travels, and how he came to be a Rotarian.

If you have not yet paid your dues, please make your cheque payable to The Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue and hand it to the Club Treasurer Saiyed Jaffer.
Taste of Old Strathcona
This year, the food festival will take place on September 28th. This year's fundraiser for the Old Strathcona Society will be "bringing back 1912".
Next Week: Planning Hockey Night on Whyte
This year, the street hockey tournament will take place on Saturday, September 29th. Special thanks to Tim Onciul for coming back this year to make this second annual event a success. He will bring a new poster for this year's event to the next meeting as the Club continues the planning process.
