Last meeting Feb 25 - Wendy Andrews, Belize Playground Project

Since 2009 the District 5370 Playground Committee has been shipping playgrounds to Belize as part of the Rotary District's Belize Literacy Project.  Playgrounds are provided by Lyle Johnson of the Emmanuel Foundation who refurbishes and redesigns municipal and school playgrounds from Western Canada which are destined for the landfill. Guest speaker Wendy Andrews from the Rotary Club of Edmonton Glenora is the Chair of District 5370 Playground Committee. Her presentation was an opportunity for our international service project committee to remind us of the good work our club has already accomplished and how we could be involved in the future.
