Treena, Sheineen, and Micheal from It’s Time YEG were our guest speakers this past week. It’s Time YEG is an initiative to prevent gender-based violence and sexual assault in our city. Our presenters provided us with a definition for gender-based violence, shared the results of research on gender-based violence in Edmonton, and helped us know what to do when we see it. Thank you for raising our awareness of these issues and sharing valuable resources with us. This important work helps make Edmonton a safer city.
