Help Nourish Our Neighbours this Holiday Season
Hello friends,
As you know, COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated existing food security challenges for our community. To aid in the response, the Rotary Club of Whyte Avenue is raising funds through an online auction to support the Fresh Routes x The Neighbour Centre Mobile Grocery Store this holiday season.
Fresh Routes exists to increase access to affordable, culturally appropriate food in a manner that maintains dignity. The Mobile Grocery Store (MGS) is a community-driven grocery store on wheels that increases the availability of healthy and affordable foods in underserved neighbourhoods.
The MGS carries a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, bread and healthy non-perishables under market value, allowing all individuals to have access to healthy food.
