Helping Y.E.S.S. at Ice on Whyte - while staying warm
11TH Annual Ice On Whyte Festival Takes Place January 24 – February 2, 2014 At End Of Steel Park.
an International ice sculpting competition with 10 teams from around the world. Enjoy the outdoor play on the giant ice slide and in the interactive kids zone. The evenings are filled with live music presented by Alberta musicians. There will be food, hot beverages, fashion, L'il Chipper ice carving lessons, crafts, cultural exhibits and much more.
We have a wonderful opportunity to raise funds for Y.E.S.S. while visitors come into the heated tent on site and warm up with some hot chocolate that we prepare and serve. RC of Edmonton Whyte Ave has secured a shift for 6 volunteers, which can include friends and family members on Saturday January 25 from 1:30 - 6:00 pm. If we get our shift filled quickly, we may look to secure another date .... possibly February 1 - another Saturday. Contact Marilyn Mucha if you are interested in helping out. mgmucha@shaw.ca.
