Fort Edmonton Park - A Rotary Legacy

Janet Tryhuba (Executive Director of the Fort Edmonton Foundation) joined our meeting on April 18, 2017 to share with us the history and future vision of Fort Edmonton Park.
It began in 1966 when Rotary Club of Edmonton Downtown began working with the city to create a replica of the Fort. It wasn't until 1974 that the Park opened in its doors.
Today the Fort Edmonton Capital Expansion Plan has set its sights on developing the top four initiatives of the Master Plan:
- The Indigenous Peoples' Experience
- The expansion of the 1920's Midway
- The expansion of the Hotel Selkirk
- A new guest services area reclaiming the Train Station
Fort Edmonton Park and Fort Edmonton Foundation appreciates all support to move this vision forward. Volunteer your time, donate, sponsor or attend an event. Jeans and Jewels is a fundraising dinner on June 15, 2017 and A Night in the Wild West is the fall gala on September 16, 2017.
