Down there in Mexico...

Go south! And see what a Rotary club is like at 40*C above …  Whyte Ave members Meltem and Kent den Heyer visited the Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside club this month during their vacation. The Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside is the only English speaking club in Mexico and meet for lunch on Tuesdays. It chartered in 2012 and includes 33 members who are primarily American or Canadian expatriates and Mexican professionals. Their service projects include volunteering for weekly English reading sessions with the children at Pelopides School, donating Christmas gifts to a Playa organization for disadvantaged children named Christmas Dreams, and providing necessities to the unwed and expectant mothers at Casa Yoliguani.
