1000 Survival Gardens
The Rotary Club of Winnipeg, along with the Rotary Club of Gibsons in British Columbia, the Hippo Roller Foundation, and their South African partner — the Rotary Club of Hillcrest, have embarked on a long-term COVID-19 response project called “1000 Survival Gardens” in an effort to empower women in remote villages in South Africa to grow their own food during the pandemic and into the future. Strini Reddy, from the Rotary Club of Winnipeg, is going to present to our club on the work that they are doing. Their goal is to empower 1,000 women and their families by helping them create food security and self-sufficiency. We hope you will join us for this exciting presentation.
