Reducing Prisoner Recidivism in Ghana

Emily Block is the Eric Geddes Associate Professor of Strategic Management and Organization at the University of Alberta School of Business.

Her research focuses on value conflicts in and around organizations.

She currently teaches undergraduate negotiations and Leading at the Frontiers of Business, an MBA elective that explores the role of business in conflict prevention and economic development.

She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, a background in consulting, a PhD from the University of Illinois and has volunteered her time working with Catholic Relief Services, Mercy Corps, World Vision and the US Army Special Operations Command.

She is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Sunyani East in Ghana

She will be presenting on her 2018 work with the Rotary Club of Sunyani East in Ghana on programs to reduce prisoner recidivism and her planned work on developing solutions for the challenge of elder care.
