The next Rotary Lunch Bunch will be on Wednesday, April 27^th at noon at Sam & Louie’s Pizza in Elkhorn. Our guest speaker will be Mark Sorensen, a Business Specialist with the Omaha Public Library. OTHER CLUB BUSINESS:

Following the recognition of guests and Ken Melichar, President Roger presented Diane Clark her badge shown in the section above.

Secretary Rita reported the check book balance of $5,617.69.

Neil collected Double Fines due to the Awards Banquet preempting his usual fine session.

Jim Tomanek reported the upcoming Cope Golf Outing, inviting members of our club to attend.

President Roger conducted official business in obtaining approval of Club Runner for the next club year from our membership.

FUTURE PROGRAMS On April 28th Paul will host Allison Brown-Corson as his guest. She will tell us about Youth Emergency Services (YES). This program helps homeless youth ages 12-21. On May 5th Ron will host Tim Yager from OPPD. Tim runs the Elk City Generating Station where they harvest methane gas from landfill waste as a power source. This will be interesting. On May 12th we will have Kevin Boyle from Manning, IA to tell us about his recent agriculture tour to South Africa. Kevin is the president of the Manning Rotary Club and a banking friend of mine and Dan Palmquist. have a friend of mine from Manning, Iowa that just returned from South Africa on an agriculture tour that will present on May 12th. He is also president of his local Rotary club. On May 19th Bob Worley is bringing Ron Riggle from Elkhorn. He will tell us about his new business that he started called Synergy Home Care. It is a home health care company. That should leave us with the next open date of May 26th. I have John Fech from the extension office for June 2nd to talk to us about summer lawn and shrub maintenance. .

Last week, Ron (yours truly) gave a demonstration on our Club Runner, which was also approved by the club for use in the coming year. (Club Runner at an annual cost of $490)

For first time users of Club Runner, it can be confusing and I am offering individual assistance to help in logging on and navigating the program. Call me on my cell phone (402 676 0781) to arrange assistance. I am willing to travel to your computer as your email connection may be needed for password reset.
