Elk City Generating Station

Tim will tell us about using Landfill Gases for generating electricity.  The City of Omaha is considering land fill alternatives for disposing of yard wastes.Tim is Manager of the Special Projects Department with Omaha Public Power District in the Production Engineering Division.  Tim has worked for OPPD for more than 30 years and has over 40 years’ experience in Construction and Project Management.  He has been responsible for numerous capital projects for OPPD including the construction of Unit No. 2 at Nebraska City a 700 MW coal fired power plant and expansion of OPPD’s Landfill Gas Facility.  Tim was most recently the Project Manager for OPPD’s Resource Options Analysis Study.  Tim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering.
