Meeting Minutes 3/22/18
We were led in prayer and pledge by Roger Bettmann
We had 21 members present, including our soon-to-be-inducted new member, Julie Seidl
Treasurers report: $1,535.34 current balance
Announcements: Next Lunch Bunch meeting will be April 12th at Noon at Shevy’s
Other announcements/discussion:
- Tod reported that Rotary scholarship interviews were conducted last week.Four candidates from Elkhorn South High School were interviewed and 3 from Elkhorn High.The 2 winners were selected from a very qualified field. Jim reported that 4 interviews will be done at DC West and the winner will then be selected.The Annual Rotary Scholarship breakfast is scheduled for April 5th, where the Club will welcome the scholarship winners, their parents, and their school representatives.
- The Rotary Golf Outing, which provides the funding for the scholarships, is set for July 9th at The Pines.Put together your fearsome foursome!
- Judy Ackland will participate this weekend in the Rotary Leadership Conference.

Todays’ speaker was introduced by Duane Prorok.
Katie Pile is the Business Development Representative from the Omaha Visiting Nurses Association. Katie shared the VNA history as well as the variety of services that they make available to thousands of people in our community. The VNA is a non-profit organization.
The Omaha VNA was formed over 120 years ago. Their mission is to deliver community based care that provides peace of mind, quality of life, and independence.
The VNA provides:
Home health care, Hospice care, Palliative care, Telehealth and Safety products, IV therapy, Pharmacy services and community and public health services.
