WSC UPDATE BY DR. RAMES

President Bob introduced Wayne State College President Marysz Rames as our speaker for our club meeting on October 28. She gave our club a synopsis of her past year as president.

She noted we all need to get the word out that WSC is affordable and accessible. She told us about the new Rural Law Opportunity Program, which is connected to the UNL law school. She is proud to say 99% of the graduates are employed or continuing their education. Marysz explained WSC is doing integrated marketing: new commercials, radio ads, newspaper ads with a specific focus, digital ads, billboards, and new admissions materials. New banners are on campus now, and monument signs will soon be visible. The CAT (Center for applied technology) is underway. This program will provide more teachers for career academics.

We had a special guest this morning, thanks to Eric. Kylie had lots of smiles this morning for us to enjoy. She is a perfect for our New Generations Avenue of Service.
