Megan Finn, Wayne State College Director of Athletic Development (new position in the WSC Foundation office), was our guest speaker at our February 6 club meeting. WSC was one of three colleges in the conference that did not have a person in this position. She was a college athlete and has had marketing experience that will help her to secure scholarship funding for student athletes at WSC. The college has 13 varsity programs with plans to add women's golf and beach volleyball. Not all of the WSC varsity sports have the full quota of scholarships available as allowed by the conference and she work of filling that quota. Coming from Omaha she has found Wayne very welcoming and the athletic facilities very good. She commented that the reserve ticket holders will be able to enjoy alcoholic beverages and food in the new press box during games.
