Club member Bob Ensz introduced Dan Fehringer as our speaker for the March 7 club meeting.  Dan has been Superintendent for 10 years and Principal the previous 8 years at Winnebago Public Schools.  Dan noted their school employees work on "building relationships" and focus on the positive.  Their mission statement is, "Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow."

Dan has helped promote $20 million dollars in recent spending to improve the facilities for their students, which include a Green Room and a Soundproof Room, which give the students a "hands on experience."  Impact Aid money has to be lobbied for every year.  The school has 600 students in K-12. Stability and longevity have assisted to help build trust.  Teachers are expected to attend events.  The programs are set up for success.  Dan also showed us several impressive videos made by the students, including Sacred Voices.
