Water for South Sudan Presentation
Club member Barbara Engebretsen gave our club an update on the Rotary Global Grant "Water for South Sudan" at our weekly meeting on Nov. 18. 6 hand-pump wells have been dug to date, providing water for more than 3,429 South Sudanese. 30 water committee members have been trained to oversee the management, maintenance, and conflict resolution related to well use. Some of the other participants in the grant have included the Juba Rotarians, South Sudanese country director Beatrice Safari Karlo, and our organizational partners Buey Tut of Aqua-Africa, who has been collaborating with Salva Dut of Water for South Sudan.

Dan Rose introduced Barb as our speaker.
