Bill Engebretsen, Wayne Rotary Club Treasurer, recently graduated from the Rotary Leadership Institute. Eleven different clubs were represented by 23 participants in the session on March 23 in Omaha. Bill has taken three RLI classes in order to graduate. Gary Weddel, President Elect for the Wayne Club, also participated.
Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.
Rotary needs a constant influx of leadership, especially with the annual change in club officers. It is difficult at the club level to learn enough about the exciting world of Rotary. Furthermore, leadership skills in a voluntary organization are often different from business leadership skills. Classes are offered through the Rotary District 5650.
