Wayne Rotary was well represented at the Aqua Run held in Omaha, NE, on August 26. There were over 100 runners, so probably about 20 five-member relay teams. Each team member ran 2000 meters with a 5 pound hydra pack on their back for a total of 10 kilometers, the distance women and children often have to walk daily to get water for their families. Registration fees support Aqua Africa.
The Wayne Rotary team finished 7th overall. The team included Bill Engebretsen, Henry Miller (a WSC senior who is a supporter of the Aqua Africa cause), Marcella Jurotich, David Ensz, and Bob Ensz.
