Club member Darius Agoumba introduced David Peitz at our club meeting on March 28.  David told our club about the Development of the Fermentation Sciences Degree at Wayne State College.  He said this new program will increase options for Chemistry majors.  Freshmen will be targeted.  Options with this major include individual businesses such as a microbrewery and winery or working for an industry.  Students will get a 4-year degree.  David also noted there is a potential of holding workshops for those interested.  
 
 
David also told our club Nebraska ranks 34th in the U.S. breweries with 33 craft businesses. $424 million is the economic impact. 39,505 barrels of craft beer are made every year.
