Pictured is our Wayne Rotary Board hard at work. A special thanks to President Barb Engebretsen for her outstanding year, especially her commitment to the District Global Grant for water for South Sudan which involved many including Aqua Africa and a cooperation between the Wayne, Nebraska and Juba, South Sudan Rotary Clubs District 5650-9212. Barb stated, "What began as an ‘ambitious’ goal to build 8 hand-pump wells serving perhaps 4000 people of South Sudan, has bloomed to 15 wells, serving more than 12,000 people. In these communities, WASH and Micro-Democracy training for an estimated 6,000 South Sudanese have built community capacity and more importantly, dignity." None of this would have been possible without her leadeship! The connections in Rotary are amazing! Also a special thanks to the dedicated members who have served on the board. Many have contributed their time and talents for many years.
