Club member Nancy Braden introduced Luke Virgil, Director of Wayne Area Economic Development, at our club meeting on April 25. Virgil was the director of the Laurel Economic Development previous to his Wayne position.

Luke stated Wayne has "good anchor institutions" and is progressive. Like many communities, it is a challenge to develop a good work force. He is working with the UNL Extension and Northeast Community College on a "work place culture." He also hopes to promote more tourism in Wayne and area.
