Club member Cindy Brummond introduced Justin Raulston at our club meeting on April 11. Justin is the Director of Ministry Development for Christian Student Fellowship. Their mission is to share "the love, truth, and purpose of Jesus with college students...Changing the World One Life at a Time." Justin noted the program started at Kearney. He has held his position for 4 years. Currently they have 9 ministries, 15 staff, 7 campuses, and are in Nebraska and South Dakota. Their work includes working with communities, establishing relationships, encouraging leadership, and honoring God. They produce their own teaching material.
Justin noted during spring break, they have gone on many mission trips. They hope to make a difference in the community and get students to "have a conversation with God." He stated only 15% of U.S. college students identify themselves as Christians. Major decisions are made in college, so he emphasized it is vital to outreach to these students. CSF also hope to expand to other locations. They are non-profit and rely on donations.
