GLOBAL GRANT UPDATE GIVEN

Buey Tut recently spoke to the Wayne Rotary Club on March 2.  A graduate from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Buey has been the executive director for Aqua-Africa for five years. This non-profit organization is helping to bring clean water to the people of South Sudan, Africa. They have assisted with eight wells, directly serving over 3,400 people.

 

 

With a Sudanese population over 10 million, there is a great need for ...more water towers and wells. The fresh water not only has a direct impact on health, it also eliminates the many hours necessary to haul water. The Wayne Rotary Club; Rotary International; and the Juba, South Sudan Rotary Clubs have provided financial assistance.  Barbara Engebretsen, Wayne Rotary Club Vice-President, introduced Buey. She implemented and oversaw the Rotary International Future Visions Global Grant program.
