Mrs. Misty Beair, Wayne School Early Learning Center Director, was our guest speaker on March 13.  The school, one of 18 in NE, now in its 5th year has room and teachers for 20 students in the 3-4-5 year age groups.  These are children that do not qualify for the Head Start preschool and may not be able to afford a private school.  It is a Dept of Ed model preschool that recently received a high 6.65 rating.  The highly trained staff along with along with an advisory group work with other community child care providers to help prepare the children for kindergarten.  They also work with the parents to get them involved in the educational/social/emotional training.  In 2018, 89 families needed this type of assistance for their children.
