Dr. Jason Karsky and Cassie Post, MSFS, told our club about the Crime Scene Investigation Labratory that will be built in the near future across from the Willow Bowl at our August 30 meeting. This will provide "hands on experience" at the undergraduate level. Students will learn about crime scene processing: assessing, observing, documenting, searching, collecting, and processing/analyzing. This practical/applied training site will be utilized to learn how to approach, collect, document, and process evidence. This will make the students ready for regional and national competitions and will assist them for job applications after graduation. They both noted new methods are discovered in this field every day.
