Club member Darrell Miller introduced Bill Kranz, who told us about the Haskell Ag Lab near Concord at our club meeting on July 25. He started working there in 1985.

Bill told us a little about the history of the Ag Lab. It was interested to note Roy Christensen, one of the founders, was member Kaki Ley's Dad.

The generous donation by the Haskells of their farmland got the project going.

Some of the facilities that have been added over the years. Unfortunately their staff has gone from 12 to 2.

A Nebraska map of the districts shows the 28 counties in our Northeast District. Bill told us about the importance of the research done at the center. Plant Hardiness in different zones is just one of the recent topics being studied. This was a very interesting topic.
