Mark and Michelle Janssen were speakers at our club meeting on June 19. They purchased Miss Molly's drive up and renamed it the 527 Brew House. They have five children and live in Winside where Mark was raised. He met Michelle in Arkansas. They inherited 5 girls who worked at the facility and plan to have 15 working there this fall to keep up with more customers and expanded hours. They currently sell 42 styles of drinks and are open to making more if a customer requests one. They also provide pastries and sandwiches. They try to purchase raw materials locally if possible and are always working to maintain quality while filling orders quicker. They make their own whipped cream and are trying to switch to sippable cups and no longer use straws. They hope the jobs they provide are learning tools for the WSC students that will encourage them to stay in small town Nebraska. The employees help determines the daily specials and they advertise mostly on social media.
