Dirk Chatelain is a lifelong Nebraskan. A native of Rising City (population 392), he graduated from Columbus High School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and now resides in Gretna with his wife, Andrea, and three kids.

A five-time Nebraska sportswriter of the year, his journalism career includes 18 Associated Press Sports Editor Top-10 awards. "24th & Glory" is his first book project.
