Bill Harvey, General Counsel, is a member/partner of EHPV Management Group (which operates Big Red Keno and other companies) and he has been involved with EHPV since 1993. He manages all legal issues for EHPV.
Bill is a graduate of the Creighton University School of Law and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is admitted to the bar in Nebraska and Colorado.
Bill is an active member of the Rotary Club of Omaha, where he served as Club President (2017-18). Bill and his wife, Gretchen Harvey (also a Rotarian), are multiple Paul Harris Fellows, members of the Paul Harris Society, Major Donor Level 4, and Bequest Society Level 4. He is past District 5650 Rotary Foundation Committee Chair. He currently volunteers for The Rotary Foundation on a regional level as the Endowment/ Major Gift Advisor for Zones 25B and 29 covering 23 Districts across 11 states.

Although it was hard to tell with our weather last week, Spring is finally here. As we get back out and start planning those spring yard projects, think about what we do as Rotarians to protect the environment worldwide.
April is Environmental Month. As one of Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus, we are committed to Protecting the Environment. We support the activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources, advance ecological sustainability and foster harmony between communities and the environment.
How do we help achieve this? We tackle these issues the way we always do: coming up with and supporting projects, using connections to change policy and planning for the future. We are empowering communities by providing access to grants and other available resources to embrace local solutions and encourage innovation to address the causes of climate change and environmental degradation.
Over the last five years, Rotary has provided $18.4 million in global grant funding to environment-related causes through our support of community economic development and water, sanitation, and hygiene projects.
On the district level, we just recently completed the President-Elect training for our new group of Club Presidents who will lead their clubs during Robert Rapp’s year as District Governor. I was honored to attend the training and can tell you the future looks bright for our district with this new crop of leaders.
Hopefully, clubs have identified their delegates for the upcoming District Annual Meeting that will take place on May 8th. Our District Treasurer, Gary Bren, will be sending out our district budget this week for you to review in advance of the meeting. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to myself or your District Assistant Governors. We are here to support your efforts to make sure your club members are getting the best Rotary experience possible
Omaha, NE, By Yolanda Hoffman – In an extraordinary display of service and teamwork, over 130 Rotarians, along with their families and friends, came together on February 22, 2025, for the Multi-Club Rotary Meal Packaging Project in partnership with Kids Against Hunger. Their collective efforts resulted in a staggering 46,655 meals packaged, reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to making a tangible difference in the fight against hunger.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from members of Omaha Downtown, Millard, Morning, Suburban, and West Rotary Clubs, who worked tirelessly across multiple shifts to ensure the success of this initiative. Volunteers donned hairnets, measured ingredients, sealed bags, and packed boxes—each meal destined to provide nourishment to those in need in our immediate community.
“This was an incredible day of service,” said Brett Wawers, Project Coordinator. “To see so many hands working together for such a meaningful cause truly embodies Service Above Self.”
The energy in the room was contagious as Rotarians, young and old, worked side by side, proving once again that service is at the heart of Rotary. With group photos capturing the spirit of camaraderie and action shots showcasing the dedication of volunteers, the day was not just about packaging meals—it was about strengthening community bonds and living out Rotary’s mission of service.
Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves to make this event a success.
