Dr. Thomas J. Blount is a board-certified Pediatric Cardiologist at Children’s Nebraska, one of the region’s leading pediatric specialty hospitals dedicated to comprehensive heart care for infants, children, and adolescents. Children’s Nebraska is known for its family-centered approach and advanced pediatric cardiac services, supporting patients from diagnosis through treatment and long-term follow-up.
 
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Blount serves as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), where he contributes to training the next generation of pediatric cardiologists and supports educational programs within the Department of Pediatrics.
 
Dr. Blount earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine in Omaha. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
 
His clinical interests include general pediatric cardiology, and he provides expert, compassionate care to children with a wide range of congenital and acquired heart conditions. Dr. Blount’s work reflects a deep commitment to both patient care and medical education in pediatric cardiovascular health.
