Retired Omaha Police Detective Shawna McClure served her community with three separate agencies for 25 years before retiring from the Omaha Police Department in 2021.
Currently, Shawna is a full-time student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha earning her Master's degree in Counseling. She has a passion for peer counseling and presently serves as a peer support counselor with The Wounded Blue and Call for Backup. She is also an avid supporter of First Responders Foundation and Concerns of Police Survivors.
Shawna is married to Council Bluffs Police Officer Ken McClure. She is the mother of four children and the grandmother of six grandchildren.
