Looking for something to do while you are biking or walking the next few weeks practicing social distancing?  Please find a link to a collaborative service project that you can participate in on your own time in helping with the Rotary Omaha Metro Trail Marker Project 2020.  Omaha Rotary Night Club is coordinating.  All we have to do is to mark the section of the trail as members that we observe.  Please write your observations and put Omaha Morning Rotary Club.  Let Yolanda and I know that how many hours you helped and what part of the trail you helped with and we will enter under our Omaha Morning Rotary project activities.  This is an easy project and will benefit everyone and we get recognized for our work!

Once at the site please watch the video and then to participate click on the following at the site.  See below -

"Use this link to record your progress as you complete the survey.  If we get all of ours done - we can always sign up for more."

FOR OCT. 3, 2020, Message from the Project Coordinators:

We are going to be doing the trail from the Bob Kerry Bridge, south, along the trail, starting from our condo at 9 AM (105 South 9th Street, and will then meet hereafter our bike ride to identify markers so about 11 AM for coffee and fun at our condo (#707).

Welcome, all! James is looking into the other trail project that is much more complicated, meaning that the signage stations need to be dismantled, sanded, and then re-varnished. This is what requires more time and coordination as even the screws require special equipment as safety against vandalism. The place for that rehab is to be determined. I know there is big Rotary station signage at the Harrison Street park, so James will coordinate with the Rotarians in charge, Bren.

We will be ‘ready to ride’ at 9 AM!
