Bob Collins, of Council Bluffs Centennial Club, joined us last Tuesday to discuss the work of the Rotary Foundation and to present a check for the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen.

The mission of the Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world. Foundation programs include the End Polio Now Campaign and Humanitarian Grants, among the District Simplified Grants. Norfolk Rotary application for a simplified grant resulted in $1,815.58 in funding to purchase a steam table for the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen.
