The monthly evening meeting was held with Pete Ricketts giving a presentation.  Mr. Ricketts, part owner of the Chicago Cubs and past officer of T.D. AmeriTrade, is currently running for Governor of Nebraska.  He shared his views on a variety of issues and answered questions from attendees.

An induction ceremony into the Norfolk Rotary Club was held for four new members.  They are Lora Leathers, Andy Labenz, Matthew Headley, and Josh Moenning.  (See photo below.)

A drawing, with Rotary members eligible, was held with Christine Mimick-Keller winning $50 which will be applied toward the Rotary Foundation.

The next meeting will be held next Tuesday, October 8 at noon at the Time Square Event Center.  A presentation will be given by representatives of Arahus College from Denmark. They will speak about their institution, as well as life in Denmark and what they’ve been doing during their visit to Norfolk.

A cash drawing will be held with present members eligible to win between $10 and $30.
