On October 11th, Sherry Ford (right), Iowa State University's Mills County Extension Director, hosted club members in her conference room at the new Charles E. and Florence M. Lakin Community Center in Malvern. Sherry presented an informative update on her office's extension and outreach efforts serving Iowans through six program areas: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Business and Industry, Communities, Families, 4-H and Youth Development, and Continuing Education. As a bonus, Chad McCollester (left), Agri-Valley Farm Management Director, gave members an enlightening tour of the nearly $2.9M and 6,000 square-foot Community Center and Extension office spaces.
